North American based energy companies continue to choose Guardian to streamline safety operations. There has been an increasingly high demand for mobile capture for safety observations, audits, and inspections. This mobile capability allows companies covering large geographies to "Capture on Demand" which enables real-time safety metrics monitoring.

S&W has added GPS capture capability to all mobile platform apps (iOs, Android, and BlackBerry). Customer round tables will be conducted later this year to get feedback on how this new data can be used in "Heat Maps" to show Safety Metrics across geographical areas.

Implementing a behavior-based safety process in the utility industry raises unique challenges such as involving employees whose professional code of practice already includes watching out for one another and who are dispersed across large service territories sometimes for long periods. Unique challenges call for unique solutions and what better way to learn these solutions than to network with and learn from others in the utility industry?
This interactive event was facilitated by experts in the field of behavior-based safety with utility industry experience. Participants shared best practices in developing and maintaining behavior-based safety processes.

S&W Technologies is proud to announce the product release of its Guardian Business Intelligence System. In addition to the Guardian Standard Reports which support the BBS Process, this module is now included in all customer implementations.
Customers are using this system to deliver completely customizable reports and dashboards that align directly to their safety process and key performance indicators. The turn-around time for new report requests has been reduced by over 75%.

A major Electric Power corporation has chosen the Guardian Behavior Based Safety Observation System to capture, track, and report on their safety inspections across all operating companies. This follows an intensive 45 day pilot where S&W competed head to head with multiple competitors. S&W provided full project management during this pilot which involved implementing, training, and supporting participants as they used Guardian for real safety observations. The Critical Success Criteria for winning the business was system functionality, ease of use, and customer support.
The Guardian system will identify and mitigate workplace risk in the shortest time possible and will enable employees anywhere in the country to capture safety observations using Web-Browsers, iPhones, Androids, BlackBerrys, and Excel uploads. The Guardian SafeScan Capture System will eliminate the manual data entry of paper-based checklists.

Five major corporations across Synthetic Chemical Manufacturing, Power Distribution, Oil Refining, and Gas Drilling industries have given the green light to S&W this month to completely streamline their Behavior Based Safety Observation process by implementing the Site-Wise Guardian Observation system. All five major corporations will be capturing observations electronically via web browsers and also using S&W's new suite of "Mobile Apps" for use on their Blackberrys, iPhones, iPads, Android phones, and tablets.
In rugged terrain where technology can not be deployed, these same customers are now taking advantage of S&W's new SafeScan capture solution. This end-to-end solution allows for the simultaneous scanning of paper-based checklists eliminating manual data entry while entering observations electronically in other locations.
Quality, Audit, and Transportation departments for these new customers will utilize Guardian's flexible capabilities to manage quality inspections of gas and electric meters, Federal regulatory audits, and daily vehicle inspections reports.

IRPA Conference (International Radiation Protection Association) Glascow Scotland
The IRPA Conference held in Glascow Scotland in May, proved to be a rewarding event. There was much interest from various foreign nuclear companies around S&W's suite of radiation protection software products. VSDS (Visual Survey Data System) continues to be best in class world wide for the documenting and reporting of electronic radiological surveys. GEDDS (Graphical Electronic Dosimetry Display System) was also a highlight at IRPA for its best in capabilities for the monitoring of radiation dose levels on people and areas within nuclear and department of energy sites.
2012 ASSE Expo and Conference (American Society of Safety Engineers) Denver Colorado
The ASSE Expo and Conference held in Denver Colorado in early June, had another enormous turnout with over 4000 attendees from around the world. S&W showcased it's safety products, the Site-Wise Guardian Observation system, Incident Tracking system, and S&W's newest SafeScan capture solution. The SafeScan solution eliminates the need for manual data entry for hardcopy safety observations, inspections, and audits. This solution solidifies S&W's capability to provide its customers an in-house, end-to-end solution for the capture, tracking, and reporting of safety observations, inspections, and audits. S&W's competitors cannot offer this end-to-end solution and must continue to partner with other companies to provide such solutions.

S&W Technologies announces SafeScan, a component to the Guardian System, that allows you to scan hardcopy checklists used for safety observations, audits, and inspections. This new capability eliminates the labor associated with the manual data entry of these forms and enables S&W to provide it's clients an end-to-end solution without the use of a third party provider.

S&W Technologies has signed a multi-year agreement with a Fortune 100 Global Food Manufacturer. Four facilities will be rolled out initially with the Guardian Behavior Based Observation System to capture, track, and report on safety audits. Real-time safety intelligence may now be shared at corporate, regional, and local levels to lower workplace injuries.

S&W Technologies recently finished up two full weeks of annual nuclear trade shows; which were held mid January, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The 2012 Nuclear International ISOE ALARA Symposium and the US NRC Region III Radiation Protection Managers steering committee meeting were held in week one. The Nuclear Suppliers Association Region I & II Radiation Protection Managers meeting along with the Nuclear PWR ALARA meeting were held in week two. Nuclear professionals from around the world as well as several S&W customers participated and learned about the latest enhancements in S&W’s software technology. S&W’s VSDS (Visual Survey Data System) software, recording of electronic radiological surveys, is fast becoming the industry standard at nuclear and DOE sites throughout North America. S&W’s telemetry software GEDDS (Graphical Electronic Data Display System) and picture cataloging software Site-Wise, are also widely used within these industries. Another S&W fast developing and sought after product is our Behavior Based Observation and Incident Tracking software, Site-Wise Guardian. S&W Technologies was recently awarded a contract with a west-coast beverage manufacturer for the Guardian Behavior Observation System. This hosted system will streamline the capturing, tracking, and reporting on behavior observations, inspections, and safety audits. Customer business drivers for this project included reducing the total number of injuries / near misses and associated costs at their facility.

S&W Technologies had a booth at the 2011 National Safety Council Expo in Philadelphia. The attendee turnout at the booth was tremendous. Products featured were the Guardian Behavior Based Safety Observation capture and reporting system, the Guardian Incident Tracking and OSHA reporting system, and the Principals of Behavior Based Safety training system. Attendees were excited to see the linkages between the Behavior Observation and Incident Tracking systems and how it will impact the amount of incidents from happening in the future. Feedback from the show confirmed S&W’s BEST IN CLASS systems for the reduction of workplace injuries.

S&W Technologies exhibited at the Nuclear Energy Institute’s annual meeting in Seattle, Washington last week. Several current and prospective clients visited our booth to learn about new features and functionality with our safety software for radiation surveying, monitoring, and dose reduction. Also highlighted was our Behavior Based Safety software, Site-Wise Guardian. Guardian allows you to observe personnel practicing safe behaviors to avoid incidents. Guardian also tracks safety incidents with streamlined OSHA reporting.
S&W Technologies will be exhibiting at the National Safety Council conference in Philadelphia on October 31-November 2. Behavior Based Safety and Incident Tracking will be our booth focus for this event.

S&W Technologies exhibited at Mirion Technologies 21st annual training and benchmarking seminar in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Many of our current and prospective clients visited our booth to learn about new features and functionality with our safety software.
On July 22, S&W held it’s annual user group meeting at this same location in Florida. Several current and prospective clients attended the meeting. Jim Wierowski, co-owner of S&W, provided an update on our VSDS, GEDDS and Site-Wise software discussing new features and functionality. Jim fielded several requests for additional functionality that would further enhance the capabilities of our software systems.
S&W would like to thank Seth Kanter of Arizona Public Service Company’s Palo Verde nuclear site, for giving a presentation on his experience with S&W’s GEDDS real time data gathering, display and archiving radiation monitoring software system.
